We, Digitalstadt Darmstadt GmbH, warmly congratulate HddM on five years of existence and thank you for the excellent cooperation – here’s to many more years of supporting media education and competence in Darmstadt.
The House of Digital Media Education (HddM) has been promoting media literacy in Darmstadt since 2019 with creative workshops and training courses. The focus is on fostering a self-determined approach to current media content, from cyberbullying and challenges to AI and online disinformation. Thanks to the Children and Youth Fund, these programs are free of charge for social work professionals, parents, and students from elementary school onwards.
Shortly after the founding of Digitalstadt Darmstadt GmbH, one of the federally funded projects was the “House of Digital Media Education,” which was implemented jointly with the Social Affairs Department of the Science City of Darmstadt and the Institute for Media Education and Communication Hessen (MuK). Since then, the Mobile City Lab has also participated in several formats and offers programming courses for children and young people.
